These trousers are distinguished by their straight-leg, high-waist cut, a signature of WWII \"theater-made\" dungarees.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA key characteristic of the original design is the lack of outseams, whereby each leg is cut from a single piece of fabric, running seamlessly from the waist all the way to the inseam. This construction method was practical for sailors and helped them hold air better if removed and used as an improvised flotation device.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Denim Dungaree Trousers of this period are characterized by large patch pockets at the waist and that curve on the thigh. Closed with Urea buttons, the first of which features a U.S.N anchor motif on the 5-button fly.
